West Valley Store Clerk Robbed, Assaulted

WEST VALLEY CITY POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AN EARLY MORNING ASSAULT -- OF A 7-ELEVEN STORE CLERK -- ON REDWOOD ROAD, NEAR 23RD SOUTH.

AUTHORITIES SAY 3 POLYENESIAN-LOOKING MEN ROBBED THE STORE -- ABOUT 3:40 THURSDAY MORNING -- AND AT LEAST ONE OF THEM HIT THE FEMALE CLERK THREE OR FOUR TIMES.

THE EXTENT OF HER INJURIES WERE NOT IMMEDIATELY KNOWN.  BUT A STORE MANAGER CLAIMED SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE HAD BEEN "HIT BY A CEMENT BLOCK."

POLICE HAVE NO FIRM LEADS ON THE SUSPECTS...BUT ARE HOPING STORE VIDEO WILL ASSIST THEM.
