West Jordan Police Coming Up Empty in Search for Hit and Run Driver

THE DRIVER -- WHO HIT AND CRITICALLY INJURED A 25-YEAR-OLD PEDESTRIAN, EARLY FRIDAY MORNING -- WILL FACE A FELONY CHARGE, WHEN THEY'RE CAUGHT.

THAT'S THE WORD FROM WEST JORDAN POLICE, WHO SAY THERE LIKELY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY PENALTY, OF HE OR SHE HAD REPORTED THE INCIDENT.

THE PEDESTRIAN WAS INTOXICATED, AND NOT IN A CROSSWALK.

POLICE ARE CONFIDENT THEY'LL FIND THE DRIVER, BECAUSE HE'LL HAVE TO GET HIS CAR REPAIRED.

INVESTIGATORS SAY VICTIM MARIO CISNEROS WAS FOUND, ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, ABOUT A HUNDRED FEET FROM WHERE HE WAS FIRST STRUCK.

ANOTHER DRIVER -- PASSING THROUGH THE AREA, NEAR 70TH SOUTH AND BANGERTER HIGHWAY -- REPORTED FINDING THE VICTIM, ABOUT 1:45 THIS MORNING.
