West Jordan Parents Placed on Alert

WEST JORDAN POLICE REMAIN ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A PAIR OF SUSPECTS WHO APPROACHED THREE CHILDREN -- WALKING HOME FROM JORDAN HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL -- AND TOLD THEM TO GET INTO THEIR CAR.

THE INCIDENT OCCURRED NEAR 45TH WEST, 87TH SOUTH...ABOUT FOUR BLOCKS FROM THE SCHOOL.

POLICE SARGEANT DAN ROBERTS SAYS, THE 5-TO-10 YEAR OLD STUDENTS DID THE RIGHT THING...BY RUNNING HOME AND TELLING THEIR PARENTS WHAT HAPPENED.

POLICE SAY THE SUSPECTS DID NOT GET OUT OF THEIR CAR... AND NO SIMILAR INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED.

THE KIDS REPORTED, THE SUSPECTS WERE HISPANIC -- AND DRIVING A GOLD VEHICLE.

AUTHORITIES ARE REMINDING PARENTS TO SPEAK WITH THEIR KIDS ABOUT WHAT TO DO, IF APPROACHED BY STRANGERS.
