Police Searching for a Suspect Who Fired Shots Outside a Salt Lake Business

A MAN -- WHO SALT LAKE POLICE SAY, TRIED TO INTIMIDATE AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP EMPLOYEE, BY FIRING A GUN -- REMAINED ON THE RUN, FRIDAY AFTERNOOON.

DETECTIVE DENNIS MCGOWAN SAYS, THE SHOP WORKER DIDN'T SCARE EASILY....ARGUING WITH THE SUSPECT, EVEN AFTER HE BRANDISHED THE WEAPON.

THERE WAS NO PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR INJURIES, FROM THE SHOOTING, ON INDIANA AVENUE, NEAR 14TH WEST.

POLICE QUICKLY IDENTIFIED THE SUSPECT -- FROM THE AUTO SHOP RECORDS -- BUT HAD NOT FOUND HIM, NEARLY 24 HOURS AFTER THE INCIDENT.

THE HISPANIC MAN LEFT THE SHOP, DRIVING A GRAY TRUCK.
