Uncle Sam Rounding Up Fewer Wild Horses and Burros This Year

The Bureau of Land Management normally rounds up more than 8000 wild horses and burros -- off federal lands -- each year.

But due to budget shortfalls, this year's roundup will be capped at about 4800.

The animals are gathered in Utah, Nevada and other western states.

BLM officials say they've also reduced the roundup, because their federal holding corrals are already full.
