Five Out of Six Utah Adults -- Involved in Scouting -- Oppose Allowing Gays to Join the BSA

Eighty-three percent of Boy Scout leaders and parents -- involved in the Great Salt Lake Council -- are opposed to lifting a ban on gay scouts and leaders.

That's the finding of a recent survey conducted in Utah.

And 70 percent claim they will consider leaving the BSA if the proposed national change is made.

A final decision is expected in May, after surveys like the one conducted in Utah, are completed in many different locations.
